Golden "Artsy" Chinese Auction

Long Island Golden Retriever Rescue has decided to celebrate Spring once again with our fabulous “Artsy” Auction! Golden Retrievers are the favored subject of most of the pieces, but we do have some surprises, too. All proceeds will go to pay for medical care for our rescued Goldens. Since we are a 501(c)3 charitable organization, your donation is tax-deductible.

We have some great items for you to choose from. And the FUN part is that this will be a “Chinese Auction”. YOU decide how many tickets you would like to purchase, and tell us where you would like them to go. You can enter them all for one treasure or spread them out among all the prizes.

Tickets are 1 for $5.00, 6 for $25.00 or 20 for $50.00 (do the math- $50.00 is the “Bargain Rate”!).

We have fabulous one of a kind, original oil paintings, a Timmy Woods Golden Retriever Handbag & more. These will be showcased on our website www.ligrr.org. Just look for “Golden Artsy Auction” to see the

photos. Here are the beautiful items which are included in the auction:

A. “Smiling Golden” Original Oil Painting by Barbara Rose Strength. This one of a kind piece is based on an actual rescued Golden, featured on the LIGRR website. It’s bright & cheery & you never know, maybe it’s your dog! Framed in Black Metal. Framed Dimensions 19 3/4” High by 16” Wide.
B. “Golden at the Lake” Original Oil Painting by Barbara Rose Strength. This is another precious LIGRR Golden, contemplating nature. This is actually a 3-dimensional piece. Measurements: 7 7/8” High by 5 3/4” Wide.
C. Timmy Woods “Huntley” Golden Retriever Handbag Timmy Woods is a Beverly Hills designer of wearable art, handmade wooden handbags. “Huntley” is a Golden Retriever, pre-loved and Retired. “Huntley” is highly collectible & originally retailed for over $275.00. “Huntley” can be carried or displayed as a gorgeous addition to your home. D. “A Dog’s Story” Framed Print. ”No one appreciates the very special genius of your conversation as the dog does.” This print features this quote and a finely detailed Golden Retriever with an attentive look on his/her face. It is done in earth tones with a wooden frame. Measurements: 17 ¾” High by 21 ¾” High
E. Pony Party Gift Certificate from “Horsin’ Around”. Although not typically an art object, a pony party is a treasure for a child. The winner of the Pony Party is entitled to one hour with a pony at a single event. Wonderful for parents or grandparents of young children! PLEASE NOTE: The Pony Party is only available in Suffolk and Nassau Counties.
F. “Sweet Senior” Golden Retriever Framed Print. In case you think you have seen this piece before, you may be right! This 8” by 8” print was so popular in a previous Artsy Auction that we have decided to give You another chance to win it. Individually printed and signed by the artist, it is matted in ecru and framed in a thin line black frame.

When you have seen the absolute beauty of our treasures, please buy lots of tickets to make your favorite pieces your own. Not only will you be adding beauty of your home…you will also be helping to provide much needed medical care to our rescued Golden Retrievers. Now, that’s what I call a “Win-Win” situation!

Please Note: Some of our prizes have been generously donated to Long Island Golden Retriever Rescue by a collector. As such, they are “Pre-Loved”. What a nice way for us to share our Love for our Golden breed (and help rescue at the same time)!

The Lucky Winners will be drawn on June 18^th at our Rescue Parade. Your prize will be delivered or mailed to you shortly thereafter.
