  • Be sure your dog’s collar is equipped with a tag containing your name and phone number.
  • Be sure your dog always has an ample supply of clean, cool drinking water.
  • Brush your dog weekly to remove dead hair and promote a shining, healthy coat.
  • Bathe your dog only when necessary. Frequent bathing removes natural oils from the coat causing dry skin.
  • An overweight dog is not a healthy animal. Limit treats and do not overfeed your dog.
  • Never leave your dog in a locked car. The temperature within the car rises very quickly and can easily cause heatstroke - a potentially fatal condition.
  • Many household products are toxic to your dog. Store such items as cleansers, colognes, medications, & anti-freeze in a secure place away from your dog.
  • Some varieties of houseplants, such as African violets, petunias, & poinsettias, are poisonous to your dog.
  • When training a dog, focus on the successes and the good behavior. Be patient. Never hit, kick or yell at your dog.
